Just before Christmas I had a lovely family come over for a family portrait shoot. It was a Grandma and her two grand daughters which her son Ben had bought her as a treat. Babs was amazing she has got to be one of the funniest people I have ever met and I said to Sophie and Cara that everyone should have a Grandma like Babs and of course they agreed. Needless to say we had a fun time, we kept it very simple as that is what Babs requested.

The shoot was done as a traditional low key shoot against a black background. here are some of their photographs.

Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of meeting Simon, Sarah and Baby Addison. Simon’s father had treated them to our Luxury Baby Package so this was the first shoot with Addy, who was a star. I love the baby poser I use because all the babies just love how comfy it is and gurgle away happily whilst I click them in action.

Christmas is a great time to get those family portraits done for gifts for the grandparents, Aunts and Uncles. Lise & Pete brought their gorgeous daughters Kristina & Isabella along for a shoot on Saturday and they were absolutely fabulous, we had a great time getting them to jump up and down, tickle each other and generally have loads of fun.

It was Kelly’s 15th birthday and mum Julie wanted to do something different and a bit special for her and a few of her friends. They arrived at the studio at about 5.30pm and met with myself and Juliette, our hair and make up artist, and we chatted about their expectations and what they would like to do during the shoot. They had been to someone else’s shoot a few weeks ago so we wanted to make sure that they had an even better time with us. Exceeding client expectations is a must for us.

They all had their makeup done and each of them had four different outfits that they wanted to wear one of them being a fancy dress costume which I thought was a fabulous idea and brought the fun into the shoot. They each had some photographs taken on their own and then we went for the group shots and the fun really began, lots of laughing, tickling and piggy backs, we all had a great time.

Met with Jack a few weeks ago in Starbucks in Canterbury to discuss his portfolio and his career within the fashion industry. We talked about the different types of modelling he would like to get involved in but primarily he wants to venture into the fashion side of things. We also discussed the requirements of becoming a male model and the different agencies he could approach. After the meeting we arranged a date for the shoot and here are a few of the photographs we took on the day. I wish him every success with his career.

It is always a pleasure to do baby shoots but it is even more fantastic when the baby is one of my couples whose wedding I was lucky enough to do. Julianne & Cliff were married in 2009 at Chilston Park Hotel and it was an beautiful fun wedding, so when Julianne rang me to say that they now have a new addition to the family I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to see them.

Little Lucien is the most handsome baby and absolutely brilliant in front of the camera there was no stopping him, he smiled and cooed and stole my heart. Here are some of his photos.

Had a wonderful baby shoot with Sam, Owen and little Elliot. Elliot is 16 days old in these photos and we thought that she was bound to go to sleep, we sang to her, gave her warm milk but no she was so intrigued with everything going on and all the lights flashing she kept wide awake. She was such a good girl.

I had the pleasure of photographing baby Imogen (9 days old) last week. It was very special as I already knew Kelly and Paul, the proud parents, as they had already been in the studios for their maternity shoot, so bump to baby it most cetainly was.

Imogen was an absolute star, she was born to model, a few tears but nothing that a bottle of warm milk didn’t cure.

Juliette has worked in the industry for over 20 years, Juliette gained a vast amount of experience in a variety of areas of the business such as magazine editorial, catwalk, advertising, TV/video and lecturing, as well as Weddings, Make-Overs and make-up and hair technique lessons.

Following her intense passion for fashion, hair and beauty, Juliette started her career working for Model Agencies and Advertising Agencies in London and the South East, having completed her training at Joan Price’s International Beauty Academy in the King’s Road, London. This gave Juliette numerous opportunities to work with many creative professionals in the industry, with a client list including Piz Buin, Beauty Without Cruelty, BT, Slendertone and the London College of Fashion. Celebrities she has worked with include actress/model Lysette Anthony (Three Up, Two Down) and actress Kate Hardie (The Krays). Her main influences are the works of Kevyn Aucoin and Sam McKnight.

 In the last few years, since having a family, Juliette’s main focus has been on Weddings. It is the utmost honour to be chosen to provide such a personal professional service to the Bride and her Bridal party on her special day – an occasion when nothing but exceptional service and quality is required, and where there is no room for error or second chances.

Met Kath, Simon, Darcy and Sophia and their dog Mutley for a family portrait shoot on Saturday morning and the weather was fantastic, so we opted for the shoot to take place in the studio grounds. Sophia and Darcy are one year old twins and were so well behaved and had a lovely time crawling around on the grass so much so they both thought that eating the grass would be great fun. Mutley was in his element rumaging around in the long grass, luckily he came out every now and then and I managed to get a few shots of him.

Elliott, Natalie and Billy came for a family portrait shoot on Tuesday we had a great time and Billy aged 10 was so much fun,once he warned up there was no stopping him a model in the making .

This particular shoot was a boudoir shoot for a bride to be to give to her husband on their wedding night. Miss C choose to wear her cowboy hat and boots as this is part of her every day wear when working, as you can see from these photographs a very sexy cowgirl she makes.

Had a great day on Bank Holiday Monday as I helped out Alan Langley of  Dover Design Photography as second shoot. It was the wedding of Ed & Carly at The Old Kent Barn. Carly looked absolutely amazing so loved her dress, and Ed was a real gentleman didn’t complain when I moved his hand for a shot that he had injured in a rugby match the day before. And as for Carly’s son Thomas he was a real star and so very handsome.

I always love doing boudoir photography and I am pleased to say that more and more woman of all ages are coming to me to experience the fun of a makeover and to then see themselves in glamorous tasteful photographs.

It was lovely to meet Kelly and Paul today for their maternity shoot. They know that they are having a little girl so it was great to relate to the bump as little boo.  This first photograph is one I take to recreate when baby is born, replacing the bump with the baby. The photographs are then fused together to create a great image for a wall canvas or framed print. Fabulous photoshop!!!

Helen & Garry chose Herne Bay Beach for their pre-wedding shoot. We had originally arranged to meet a few weeks ago but the weather was so bad we decided to re-schedule and we are glad we did as the weather was fantastic. Kate & Rudolf had their wedding party at the Thatched Barn near Farthingloe in Dover. They were married a couple of weeks before at Port Lympne and decided to have an evening wedding party for their closest friends which was a great event. Wishing them both every happiness for the future.

I have known Roz for a few years now as I had the privilege of photographing her wedding a couple of years ago and I always refer to her as my Red bride as she wore an amazing red wedding dress she looked fabulous. Last Sunday I met up with Jane & Simon for their pre-wedding shoot, it was a beautiful day and the sky was so blue with some gorgeous white fluffy clouds, perfect!
