Helen & Garry chose Herne Bay Beach for their pre-wedding shoot. We had originally arranged to meet a few weeks ago but the weather was so bad we decided to re-schedule and we are glad we did as the weather was fantastic. They were so much fun I have had real difficulty deciding which photographs to put on my blog. I can’t wait for their wedding I just know its going to be great!!

This is Helena. Helena and I met at a wedding fayre that was held at Quex House last year. Helena is a Hair and Makeup Artist and since we met we have really hit it off and she is now one of the hair and makeup artists that I use for the boudoir photography shoots and seeing what fun we have she decided that it would be nice to experience being the model and I think you’ll agree she looks fabulous.
Here are some of her photographs.

Last Sunday I met up with Jane & Simon for their pre-wedding shoot, it was a beautiful day and the sky was so blue with some gorgeous white fluffy clouds, perfect! I’m sure Jane won’t mind me saying but she was quite nervous when we arrived but in no time with the help of Simon we had her laughing and enjoying herself. Can’t wait for their wedding in August, I just know its going to be a wonderful day!
Here are some of their photos, no need to be nervous Jane you look gorgeous and of course Simon does too ;0)

I have known Sam for quite some time as we work together at weddings as she is a hairdresser, so it was really lovely to see her as the bride, she was so calm and enjoyed every moment of the day.

Louise then travelled to the church in a lovely horse drawn carriage and after the ceremony was greeted by some of her friends and their horses from the local stables.
After the ceremony we went on to Shelvingford Farm which is owned by a friend of theirs who kindly let them setup a marquee in the grounds which proved to be a stunning site for a wedding reception.

I absolutely love him to bits despite the fact he is a handful but then that is my fault for spoiling him. He is my shadow wherever I am he is and when I am working in the studio I have to put him inside the house otherwise he sits outside and cries. Ah bless!!!!! Happy Birthday Harvey!!!!
This is him today during our morning walk in East Blean Woods, he loves it!!!

]]>The move to digital photography from film has seen a huge influx of people taking up photography and enjoying the instant benefits.
Photographic editing was always done in the darkroom and it took lots of care and attention to detail and equipment not to mention the room itself to get that final image just right, but now digital editing has made the process accessible to all photographers both amateurs and professionals as everyone now has a computer so now its called editing in Lightroom, namely Adobe Lightroom.
So its really exciting that we can go out and take loads of photographs bring them home and load them up onto our computer for instant viewing. But thats just the beginning, Adobe has created the most amazing software where we can turn our photographs into works of art or at least that is if we know how to use it.
I have recently been asked by many people how to use layers, masks, soften skin texture, alter colour casts and many other tools that can be found in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop so I am now offering lessons to anyone who would like to learn more. The lesson can be on any task and the lesson can be planned before so that you get exactly what you want out of the lesson, there will be lots of hands on experience.
Here are a couple of photographs before and after editing, so that you can see the amazing results that you can achieve.
If you would like any more information just give me a call on 01227 860216, I look forward to hearing from you.
This example is one of a very old battered print that I scanned and then editied in Photoshop, great result!!!
Just received the latest copy of A Kentish Wedding magazine and am proud to say that in the real weddings section the wedding of Emma & James Wyatt appears which we photographed last July at Mount Ephraim.
They are the loveliest of couples and I would like to thank them both for allowing me to enter their wedding story into the magazine.
You can pick up a copy of the magazine for free at any of the Kent Wedding Venues or at Wedding Fayres. The magazine is full of useful tips and loads of suppliers to help make your day special.
Hope you enjoy reading the magazine and articles!!

We were able to take loads of fantastic photographs as the Blue Bells are now out and the garden offered a great venue for photography. After the shoot we stopped off at BOHO’s coffee shop and had a chat about their wedding day. The weather albeit a little chilly was fine and sunny so we sat outside and had a really lovely time together. Looking forward to their wedding day!

]]>Sam & Owen decided to have their pre-wedding shoot in Sandwich as that is where Owen proposed to Sam in the Little Coffee Shop on the Key. We had a walk around Sandwich and then went and had lunch in the Little Coffee Shop and had a lovely lunch. We chatted about their day and organised their timeline. We then drove to The Old Kent Barn where they are having their reception as I had not been their before and we received a really warm welcome from Hilary, Roger and their beautiful German Shepherd dogs. Hilary showed us around and I have to say it is a really beautiful venue. I am really looking forward to working there.
So here are some of the fun shots we took on Tuesday. Click here to view the video Sam & Owen
